This unit covers the competencies required to manage the design and construction of ladies’ wear. It involves planning for design and construction of various ladies’ garments; designing, sketching and illustrating selected ladies’ garments, constructing ladies garment pattern pieces. It also entails laying and cutting ladies garment pieces, constructing and finishing ladies’ garments, accessorizing and displaying ladies’ garments and developing a ladies’ wear portfolio.
